When should I change my oil?
Most vehicle manufacturers recommend changing the oil every 3,000 miles or every 4 months for maximum engine protection in passenger cars and light truck gasoline engines. For diesel engines and turbocharged gasoline engines, the usual recommendation is every 3,000 miles or six months.
|
Is synthetic better then petroleum oil?
Unlike petroleum motor oil, which must be changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, synthetic motor oil can go 10,000 to 15,000 miles between oil changes. Longer oil change intervals means fewer trips to the lube shop or time spent underneath your car. On Track uses Amsoil synthetic oils, we feel it is the best oil available
for today’s engines (gas or diesel). Read more.

Does my car need a smog check?

How often does my car need a tune-up?
Most vehicles made since the early 1980s require a "tune-up" only once every 30,000 miles. Some of today's new cars and trucks don't need a tune-up for 100,000 miles! Call On Track 650-343-4595 to ask about your car.
